What's the absolutely stupidest/craziest/wackiest/weirdest thing you've heard come out the mouth of your rheumy (rheumatologist)?
The two stupidest things I've heard my rheumy say are...
..."fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome can't exist in the same person." Myth: They can, and often do.
..."you are in way too much pain for a pain doctor to be able to handle." Myth: That's what a pain doctor does.
I'd love to hear from you. Sometimes it helps when we get together and just have a laugh about it. It sure beats crying about it!
I want to point out that my advice is just that-advice. Please consult a doctor before exercising or changing your treatment routine. I am not a physician or physical therapist. I am a patient who hopes that by telling my story and educating the public on fibromyalgia and ME/CFS I can help someone.
